This week went pretty good, a little slow, but probably because I was so anxious to just get home, and finally, I am :).
I haven't been home in almost two months, so it feels good, I especially love having a shower with actual pressure and warm water.
This past week was one of my easiest weeks because all my assignments and projects are due next week and the week after. I also have my content area exam next saturday- blah. I was productive and got one of my lesson plans that's due on Tuesday done, now I just have to get a lesson plan due on Thursday done, and a math project due on Friday done- luckily that is with a partner, so we will split up the work. I also have an online math test due Wednesday, but me and a friend will be taking that together on Tuesday... ah, a busy week.
I also totally forgot to do an online podcast quiz yesterday..urgh!
Aside from all of that, today I got to eat Chipotle, talk to my mom for a solid four hours, go out with Nasiha (Michaels and Olive Garden), and then chill with mom and dad. Then Resh and Andrew will be coming over soon.
Tomorrow will be filled with errands and fun, then Sunday, I am going to the Bears game- WOO!
I really just cannot wait till Thanksgiving break, but then my family will be going to India, so i'll be hanging with Uncle Raj for that week.
I've been getting great feedback on my education blog recently -www.classroom-moments.blogspot.com <--- if you get a chance, please go read it, and let me know what you think
I still haven't uploaded any Halloween pics yet, but will probably after Sunday, so I can just get the Bears and those pics uploaded together.
Overall, my Halloween night wasn't that great, didn't even get to the bars.. so it was alright, hope everyone elses was better.
Well, enough for now- will write again later, hopefully after this weekend, so I can give you the weekend update, instead of just random school updates that probably are really boring and repetitive by now... I think I may need to challenge myself with new blog topics-not only school related and once a week.
Anyone know any great blog challenges? let me know! Thanks.
This week has been pretty uneventful. No big stories. Not too much homework, was semi sick, but got better.
Did work out three days in a row though- which is major for me :)
Tomorrow is Halloween, and I got a witch costume from Wal-Mart. It's pretty cute/hot. It's a medium and i'm a small though, so I gotta work with that a little, but it requires a belt, so it kinda works out decently at least. I'm just not the type to spend a lot of money on a costume or anything.
Anywho, I began a new blog, about my adventures of student teaching, i'm pretty excited about it but also can't think of where to begin. I wish I jotted down all my great stories while they were actually happening. At least I have this semesters aiding experience, block teaching next semester, and then student teaching semester after- so I still have plenty of time, and then i'll be a real teacher, so will continue the blog. I can't wait to read it when i'm fifty, hopefully I keep up with it though. So far I have three posts- two are book recommendations and one is just the intro though, so we'll see how it goes. I need followers! It'll be better motivation =)
Please read my new blog that is chronicles of a student teacher. It discusses classroom experiences, lessons learned, book recommendations, asks for advice, gives advice, and goes through the struggles of becoming a teacher and teaching.
I am hoping to use this blog as a reflection and will continue my xanga as a personal journal, but this blog will only revolve around the title of this post.
Please read it and share with anyone you think may be interested and comments would be great =)
Well this week has been a bit crazy. My thoughts and feelings have literally been all over the place.
School just really pissed me off this week, I don't really know why, but I was just annoyed with everything related to school this week.
I got sick on Wednesday after going to the elementary school I student aide at. Most of the kids there were sick and 188 students were even absent on Tuesday. It was pretty ridiculous. So, I'm sure I got sick from them. On Thursday I even left my science class early cause I just felt like complete crap, and on Friday I did not go to my math class.
I'm feeling a lot better compared to then though, so i'll be going to class tomorrow. I actually have a shit load of stuff due on Tuesday, which is also annoying me. I feel like every teacher makes stuff due the same day and then some weeks I have a lot due and others I have nothing due, it's really, pretty annoying.
Anyway- last week on Sunday my parents came to visit and it was so great/fun seeing them! We ate at Godfathers (of course), it's their favorite pizza place ever for some reason. Then we just went shopping all afternoon, hung out in my dorm, rajiv's house, and then the cafeteria for coffee and snacks. It was a great time, and I'm glad they came to visit
On Wednesday I went out (even though I knew I was getting sick), we went to Collin and Bailey's place, and it was a good night. Although, I did talk to JS more that night, which confuses me, because well.. urgh.
Yesterday, Rajiv and me went to Galesburg and then Burlington, Iowa. We ate a small Irish Pub called, Sully's and it was pretty good, but more expensive than it really should have been. We went shopping then to the casino. Rajiv ended up losing about 75ish dollars though, so it was a pretty bad night.
Overall, the weekend was okay, went by fast, and i'm ready to just feel better now! I got my halloween costume at least :)! I can't wait till the 501 party, I just hope i'm 100% better by then, but my goal is to be, so hopefully this week goes by fast.
Science ends on thursday!!! Once science is over, my semester will be A LOT better ( i hope).
